How long does the coating last?

Will the coating affect power output during application?
No. The application is done with the panels on, and power generation is not affected in the long term. Panels can be coated before installation.
Can it be applied to old or dirty panels?
Yes, but the panels must be cleaned and decontaminated before application. We offer a full cleaning and prep process as part of the service.
How long does the application take?
A typical residential system (e.g. 6–12 panels) can be coated in about 3–4 hours, depending on the panel condition and accessibility i.e. scaffolding or ladders that may be required. Once the coating is applied it is touch dry in 10 minutes.
Does this replace regular cleaning?
No, but it greatly reduces the need for frequent cleaning. You may find you need to clean panels far less often, saving time and money. The cleaner the panel, the more it produces.
What maintenance work is carried out on the panels?
A maintenance wash is done annually. The panels are washed and cleaned thoroughly and an application of Careplus is applied to every panel. This assists with restoring the hydrophobic effect on the panels. This maintenance can be done by yourself; you will need to buy the Careplus from us.
What chemicals is it resistant to?
Ceramic Pro Strong is typically resistant to acid, alkalis, solvents, salt, detergents, bird droppings, bug splatter and tree sap. It is oxidation and UV resistant.
Is the coating dust-proof and will the coating protect it from any debris falling on it?
While the coating is not completely dust-proof, it is resistant to dust and debris settling on the surface. Naturally, some dust and particles will accumulate on the panels over time, but the coating makes them much easier to clean. Thanks to its hydrophobic properties, dirt and grime can be easily rinsed off with water.
